New Jersey’s Danny Hynes is on board, busy with special poses.
"Manly" premieres July 31 on Cartoon Hangover.

The session was a lot of fun (and there was singing, too). The animatic will be finished this week.

Nimbus, from Jesse and Justin Moynihan’s upcoming Cartoon Hangover short, “Manly.”
Nimbus is the Jiminy Cricket to Manly’s Pinocchio. He’s a small man who lives in Manly’s fanny pack. As Manly’s moral compass he supports her artistic endeavors, humanizes her enemies, and mourns the death of her victims. Nimbus is mysterious at times, but he is pretty matter of fact and funny in the delivery of his lines.
We’re up to more than 500 voice auditions for the four lead roles. Any ideas who should play Ahriman?
AHRIMAN: (393 years old – male) Ahriman is Manly’s father. He is also the Emperor of the Universe. He holds it against Manly that she was born female. He has no tolerance for other powers or gods in the universe that might usurp his ultimate rule and has his children kill these beings. He has hundreds of children all born from different mothers. His pursuit of these mothers is always through some fetishized disguise and/or role play. Like a suburban dad. Not spineless, but like a guy who hasn’t exerted himself very much. Patronizing.
